Abstract :
Theoretical and practical results are presented showing how polarimetric optical time-domain reflectometry can be used to measure the extent of linear birefringence suppression in spun fibre and, hence, to estimate the effectiveness of the spinning parameters used in the manufacture of the fibre and the expected differential group delay of the fibre
