Abstract :
A fast harmonic estimation method for low bit rate harmonic speech coders is presented. Original harmonic frequencies with some variations are shifted to fixed synthetic harmonic frequencies by an adjustment value at each harmonic band. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm significantly reduces the complexity of the conventional fractional pitch method while maintaining the performance
