Abstract :
The general principles governing the design of a neon-tube crest voltmeter are considered, and the precautions necessary to secure reliable operation, including the selection of a permanent neon lamp, are stated. Details of a 150-kV (max.) crest voltmeter are given, and the design of voltmeters for higher voltages is considered.
