Abstract :
An historical account of the evolution of the a.c. potentiometer is given, followed by descriptions of the Drysdale-Tinsley, Larsen, Gall, Pedersen, Campbell and other types of the instrument. The theory and accuracy of such instruments are discussed, and examples are given of their application for various tests.
