The industry-university-research collaboration of Chinese medium and small technological enterprises

Taking 2894 scientific papers between 2000 and 2012 supported by the TIF for example, we define variables and code for those papers´ external characteristics, and analyze the industry-university-research collaboration of MSTEs. The results show that: MSTEs have completed the innovation projects and IURC are active through the use of external resources; the papers jointly completed mainly have belong to engineering technology and basic research level; the universities are the most important external intellectual resources of MSTEs; most MSTEs cooperates with universities and research institutions have located in the field of engineering technology; MSTEs in Jiangsu, Beijing, Sichuan, Shanghai, Guangdong are more likely to cooperate with universities or research institutions than in other provinces. At last, we propose some suggestions.
