Abstract
The Electronic Commerce Association of South Africa (ECASA) defines e-commerce simply as “doing business electronically”. By using the broadest definition possible, we can guard against the incorrect exclusion of any new development, whether that is an application, delivery channel, new technology, or some extension as yet not thought of. It is argued that one of the biggest challenges to developing e-commerce in South Africa is strengthening the telecommunications infrastructure
