Abstract :
Computer-based learning procedures provide experiences which are academically desirable but not otherwise available. They extend the range of engineering systems which can be studied and provide an introduction to design techniques which are widely used in industry. There is a clear incentive to develop software which can be widely used in educational establishments and a need for central funding to support this activity
