Abstract
The dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) is structurally very simple, but commercially very important to semiconductor memory manufacturing companies. What is the significance of the recently introduced 256 kbit DRAM and will European companies miss out on the opportunities to exploit this device because of a lack of indigenous DRAM manufacturing facilities?
