Abstract :
A simple matrix decomposition is provided as a derivation of the one-dimensional split-radix fast Hartley transform (FHT). The method is then extended, in a straightforward manner, to the two-dimensional FHT (2-D FHT) by implementing the vector-radix approach. As a result, the proposed algorithm requires many fewer computational operations than the nonsplit vector-radix 2-D FHT method
