Abstract :
Maintenance of old city infrastructure such as bridges, roads and sewer pipes is one of important issues. We have proposed drifting sensor network architecture designed for observing gases and images in sewer pipes inexpensively and safely. This paper describes the implementation of active node selection algorithms designed for drifting sensor networks on Arduino/XBee based sensor nodes and the experimentation of data collection tasks in simulated environments of the assumed communication condition.
