Abstract :
Nonlinear analysis using the Kryloff and Bogoliuboff asymptotic approach is adopted to investigate wakeinduced oscillations of transmission lines. Analytical expressions for the lift and drag coefficients of the leeward conductor are incorporated in the nonlinear model. This analysis detects and evaluates the peak-to-peak travels of the leeward conductor in the region of the wake. Typical results are reported and compared with the experimental findings of other researchers.
