    The electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (E2PROM), has two highly desirable attributes: it is nonvolatile (contents retained at power down), and its contents can be altered electrically. This versatile device is now becoming established as a mature product, offering the possibility of more responsive and intelligent electronic systems
