Abstract
Repetitive nanosecond pulses with a negative dc component are used to generate sliding discharge on a three-electrode plasma sheet actuator. Images presented here show that the formation of nanosecond-pulse sliding discharge is dependent on the value of the repetitive nanosecond pulses and negative dc component applied on the plasma sheet actuator. The ionization region of sliding discharge expands remarkably compared to pure dielectric barrier discharge with comparable power consumption.
