Abstract
An effective technique combining high-frequency (HF) asymptotic methods with the integral equation method via a novel current-based hybrid scheme is proposed for the analysis of antenna-platform problems. The proposed technique employs a relatively large full-wave region for accurate modeling of antenna current distribution. The full-wave region is then divided into two parts, with one of them including the antennas and a small portion of the platform surrounding the antennas. Only the part containing antennas is used in the computation of the coupling between the currents in the full-wave and HF regions. Thus, a long CPU time required for the coupling computation is avoided.
