Abstract :
The research purpose is to control a six phase induction machine by the combination of the concepts of predictive control and extended kalman filter at various operating conditions. Speed sensors do not have good performance at very low speed and this will cause the system to malfunction. For this reason, an extended kalman filter is used to estimate the speed of six phase induction motor. In this paper, a dual three phase induction motor is modeled and a simple predictive control is used to control the speed of the motor. Simulations have been performed for various conditions of loads and speeds and their results depict correctness and robustness operation of the whole system.
