A method of electrostatically biasing the beam of a high-speed cathode-ray oscillograph

A method of electrostatically biasing the beam of any highspeed cathode-ray oscillograph in both the abscissa and ordinate directions is described and is compared with the more usual methods of biasing. It does not involve the use of additional deflecting plates, requires little auxiliary apparatus, is fed from the same high-voltage d. c. supply as the timesweep circuit, and is entirely automatic in action.
