Abstract :
Digital control of a series-parallel resonant converter has been analyzed in this paper. To design the controller, the reduced third-order model of the converter has been used. Utilizing this model, the influence of the time delay which is mainly due to the calculation time of the processor, is discussed. Considering the results, it can be concluded that stability and transient behavior of the system are affected by the time delay value. Although, linear prediction is the suggested method of this paper to compensate these effects, but by increasing the resonant frequency, the error of this method will increase and consequently the compensation will not be achievable.
