Abstract
In this paper a rigorous approach for the computation of the electromagnetic field around an actual Induction Heating (IH) cooking system is presented. The electromagnetic model is validated by the comparison with the measurements of the input impedance of the coils and the magnetic flux density spatial distribution. The predictions of the model are used to calculate the safety area according to ICNIRP requirements.
