  • Abstract
The values of electric field strength and current density arising in the tissues of a human body exposed to a magnetic field which varies with time are the essential criteria for field exposure evaluation. Concerning workplaces at industrial high-current installations, e.g., resistance welding equipment it is advantageous to be able to determine these values. Based on numerical field calculations including the application of a human body model, a database for various field exposure situations at resistance welding workplaces was set up. Embedded in a reference system organizing the query and comparison to limits this database can be used for basic-restrictions related magnetic field exposure evaluations avoiding the necessity to carry out time-consuming numerical field calculations in industrial praxis.
