Abstract :
Jetlike glow plasmas with a diameter much larger than any of cold plasma jets in common DBD configurations are generated at approximate atmospheric pressure (700 torr) in argon and Ar/N2 mixture. The discharge is achieved by a three-electrode discharge configuration. Two bare metallic electrodes are driven with a 33-kHz ac power source and electrically grounded, respectively, and the third electrode is electrically isolated from the two electrodes with a quartz tube.
