Abstract :
One of the main challenges in the development of electric car propulsion systems is to ensure their functional stability regarding system control and EMC. Especially since all components are developed independently by several suppliers with minor knowledge about the overall system the component is included later on. Up to now the first system compatibility is not performed before all components are included into the first complete system high-voltage grid which is built up by the vehicle manufacturer. To overcome this problem, the paper shows a method for model based stability determination of the complete automotive high-voltage grid generated by combining single component models that were derived from first component samples. In this paper generic equivalent circuit models for commonly used power electronics and batteries are presented which can be combined afterwards with detailed cable models to a system simulation. They explain how the model-relevant parameters can be gained from time efficient, black-box measurements. Furthermore all derived models are confirmed through real in-vehicle measurements.
