Abstract :
A new zero voltage switching interleaved boost converter is proposed. By using interleaved converter in continuous inductor current mode, reduction in switching losses, boost inductor and EMI filter volume can be obtained. This converter has only one auxiliary switch and two diodes to obtain soft switching in all operating time intervals. By using the soft switching cell, all semiconductor devices operate in soft switching modes to decrease the power losses and hence increase efficiency. Detailed analyses and simulation results of proposed convert are discussed. A prototype 500W dc-dc interleaved boost converter with ZVS cell has been simulated in SPICE for the verification of the principles.
