Abstract :
Strain-induced tunability of thin DWDM thin-film filters (TFF) fabricated by thinning the substrates of the 100 GHz standard filters was measured. For a 100 m-thick, 250 by 200 m thin TFF, wavelength drifts larger than 4.4 nm were achieved with the maximum insertion loss of less than 1.6 dB.
