  • Abstract
    In this letter, we propose and demonstrate a novel implementation of optical carrier-sense multiple access with collision detection to efficiently transport Ethernet frames over a star coupler (SC) based passive optical network. We introduce a redirection mechanism at the SC to achieve high channel efficiency.
