Caldwell: There are two types of minds that are particularly adapted to the training for research, — on the one hand, the student who is distinctively scientific, who has the real research spirit, the desire to know, the scientific curiosity, — on the other hand, the inventor, the man who has ideas that seem, to him at least, to be inventions of importance.
