Abstract :
1×N multimode interference (MMI) couplers have been realised in silica on Si material. Fibre-to-fibre losses are 0.7, 0.9 and 1.3 dB with a maximal unbalance of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.5 dB for 1×2, 1×4 and 1×8 MMI couplers, respectively
