Abstract
Analogue transmission characteristics of fibre-Bragg-grating-based optical taps have been examined, for the first time, and considered for use in WDM multi-drop systems. A properly-fabricated fibre grating with low chromatic dispersion exhibits sufficiently low signal distortion
