Abstract :
The comparison of EMC measurements performed in different testing environments is generally difficult. In this article we choose to apply a binomial model of the immunity testing [1] to both fully anechoic room (FAR) and reverberation chamber (RC). A parametric study of the radiation properties of non intentional emitters gives the minimal requirements in terms of electrical size and complexity of the equipment under test (EUT) to apply such statistical approach. A generic EUT is designed for the experiments. Measurements in both FAR and RC show the clear benefits of such approach. The measurements are in agreement as long as the EUT is large enough and complex enough. Benefits and limitations of this approach are discussed.
