Abstract
The Acorn RISC Machine and associated chipset were developed in response to the mismatch between available full 32 bit microprocessor families and the needs of the low-cost PC market. Acorn designed a complete system architecture for optimal implementation on silicon. The resulting chipset forms the basis for a range of personal computer systems.
