Abstract :
Various advantages of permanent magnet generator such as higher efficiency than wound rotor, reduced cooling requirement, simpler construction, less service, eliminating need for field excitation & slip rings, etc. increase its importance in various industries. In this paper, fuzzy model of permanent generator has been developed with a set of linguistic rules which may be helpful for study of its mechanical dynamic analysis. Also it is found that system moment of inertia has the large impact on leakage inductance of winding. The leakage inductance of winding must be reduced to obtain the operation at steady state in minimum time.
