Abstract
The paper presents some practical examples of the lack of electromagnetic compatibility in large size equipment and some typical problems encountered by the team of EMC Testing Laboratory of National Institute of Telecommunications, Electromagnetic Compatibility Department, Wroclaw. The examples given herein, gathered within several years of experience and collaboration between laboratory team and manufacturers of mining equipment will illustrate some problems related to machines switch-offs, conveyor belt stopping, and numerous breakdowns. Examples provided in the paper were gathered during in situ tests.
