    Transform-limited 10 GHz picosecond pulse generation is experimentally demonstrated in the 1.4 μm wavelength region by amplifying supercontinuum pulses in a Tm-doped optical amplifier. Through bit error rate measurements, power penalties of <1.5 dB are found in the range 1450-1470 nm
