Abstract :
A method for objectively measuring the subjective quality of speech clipped by voice activity detectors (VADs) is presented. This system is evaluated by comparing the output of a VAD to that obtained from subjective tests. The method is shown to produce an accurate prediction of the mean opinion score (MOS) determined by listening tests
