Abstract :
The coding rules for the Miller squared code are open to misinterpretation if only a random `snapshot´ of data to be encoded is considered. To ensure a bounded digital sum variation (DSV), and therefore, a DC-free characteristic, concatenated sequence bands must be considered. Also, there is an error in the original patent covering the encoder. A simple modification to the original circuitry is necessary to deliver correct coding
