Abstract :
Nuclear reactions detected with a limited number of parameters are coded as events, i.e., sequences of 16-bit words. The real-time program MPACQ analyzes lists of such events. The desired analysis scheme is defined flexibly in a simple notation as a network of “event processors” and compiled to a binary executive, MPACQ executes this scheme as a single sequential process, producing a set of histograms and/or a new event list, MPACQ and related utilities of the MP family are coded in C and available under UNIX or VMS
