Abstract :
This paper presents an overview of virtualization techno 1 ogv and explains how it can be used with Linux-based ATEs to maximize code reuse, enable support for a wide variety of COTS hardware devices, and ultimatelv reduce the risk of ob solescence. Tradeoffs of virtualization, including potential performance impacts, are also discussed.
