Abstract :
The online estimation of the variable parameters of synchronous machines based on a novel adaptive algorithm is presented. The estimation process involves instantaneous parameter tracking and subsequent data processing. The variable parameters are ultimately expressed as nonlinear functions of operating conditions. The online estimation process is applied to a 100 MVA turbogenerator
