Abstract
One-to-nine multicasting of a 10.7-Gb/s RZ-DPSK signal is demonstrated on the basis of cascaded four-wave mixing (FWM) in a and fluorine-doped highly nonlinear fiber. This structure could significantly improve the FWM efficiencies of most channels with the required pump power of only . Therefore, no stimulated Brillouin scattering suppression scheme is required. All the nine channels exhibit high signal-to-noise ratio values with power penalty measured at bit error rate.
