  • Abstract
    In a coherent environment the problem of direction finding using arbitrary antenna array geometries always seems to be a multivariate optimisation problem. An estimator derived using suboptimal eigen techniques and optimised using the method of alternating projection (AP) is shown to be superior to the maximum likelihood method.
