Abstract :
It is hard to imagine a time when we were not surrounded by electronic and microelectronic systems. It is almost as if our society today could not cope if these electronic systems were suddenly to be removed. Over the last 10 or 20 years many teachers and educationalists have considered how a knowledge of electronic systems could be introduced into the schoolcurriculum, providing our pupils with both a basic understanding of electronic systems and an interest in a technological or engineering career.
