  • Abstract
    Coupled inductor based high set-up quasi-Z-source inverters with continuous input current (CL-qZSI), can get a higher boost ratio compared to Z-source inverters. Topology derivation and operating principle of CL-qZSI are analyzed in details. From comparison of voltage stress of passive components, influence of turn ratio and duty cycle on the boost factor and comparison of volume of coupled inductor, characteristics of CL-qZSI are analyzed. A prototype is established in the lab to verify the theory.
