Abstract :
The gliding-arc-in-tornado discharge is an example of a “warm plasma” source and is an attractive tool for fuel conversion processes. This paper demonstrates that, at relatively low currents below 530 mA, this discharge is an atmospheric-pressure normal or abnormal glow discharge. This implies applicability of the glow discharge theory and experimental data for evaluation of plasma parameters in technological systems.
