Abstract
This work proposes an equivalent circuit model for a stand-alone three-phase self-excited induction generator (SEIG) with unbalanced load impedances. The SEIG supplying unbalanced loads is modelled by a two-port network that allows the steady-state performance of the generator to be analysed more easily and more efficiently. The proposed model is validated by experiments on a 0.5 Hp cage-type induction motor operated as a generator.
