Abstract
VoIP brings real opportunities to improve voice security for applications like audio conferencing, but for standard telephony it increases the potential for eavesdropping, denial of service, and even spam. The coming together of two worlds of voice and IP-based data, aggravates some existing threats, and creates scope for attacks that exploit new applications in which voice and data are integrated tightly within a shared IP infrastructure.
