Abstract :
Coal particle ash content has important influence on the bottom ash formation behavior in fluidized bed combustion. Therefore, experiments were conducted on a benchscale fluidized bed combustor to study their relationship. Yima bituminous coal was chosen as the experimental sample. Results show that the influence of coal particle size distribution upon the bottom slag size distribution is gradually increased as the ash content in coal is increased. With the increasing of coal particle ash content, bottom ash carbon burn out ratio increased with coal particle ash content increasing. The mass content of the bottom residues which have the same size range as the initial size range of the coal particles increases with the increasement ash content.
