  • Abstract
What is missing on the Internet, and what we hope to see in the 21st Century, is not technology; what is missing is a true sense of community in the form of public works projects. Eventually, the Internet will disappear from the covers of magazines and newspapers and will instead appear in community hearings and local discussions. For the Internet to succeed, the medium must no longer be the only message. How we build our communities, an issue that reaches far beyond the Internet, should be the message
