Abstract :
A fast computation algorithm is presented for multiple symbol detection of MPSK sequences over an AWGN channel with unknown carrier phase. The central idea is to define a decision statistic for each symbol based on the information of the past decided symbol sequence and to establish a simple relation between successive symbol decision statistics. Simulation results for uncoded 4PSK and 8PSK show a good performance
