Abstract :
A general single-loop multibit delta-sigma modulator is proposed. To reduce the sensitivity of the modulator performance to the nonlinearity of the multibit feedback DAC, a digital loop filter is used to shape the mismatch noise of the DAC. Simulation results show that this modulator not only has good stability but also shapes the quantisation noise and the mismatch noise at the same order.
