New projection lens for three-dimensional displays

The authors show how to design a projection lens for a multiple-projector autostereoscopic three-dimensional display. The aperture stop is placed close to the last element and the last element made sufficiently thin and curved that the exit pupil coincides with the edges of the last surface. The result is a set of projection lenses that can abut without gaps between exit pupils
