Abstract :
The millennium bug has been a cause of concern in most sectors of the community, which has incurred considerable expenditure in an effort to avert serious consequences. It may well not be the last potentially all-pervading global threat if we do not take heed of some of the lessons it has taught us. The paper discusses the year 2000 problem from the viewpoint of business continuity. The core processing problems, hardware and software problems and how to deal with the problems, are outlined
